What’s Your Prototype?

Andre 3000 sang about having a prototype. That person who fits everything that you’re looking for in a mate. Some people say that there truly isn’t a ‘prototype’ out there, and that you usually have to mold someone into being a ‘prototype’. Personally, I do think there is that one person out there that fits me perfectly. But who says that person is available at the time? Maybe there are several ‘prototypes’ to each person at different stages in their life.
I already know who my prototype is. Will we ever be in a real relationship? Only time will determine that.
Who/what do you consider to be your ‘prototype’?

I agree that there are more than one prototypes for a person. I think if your determined and open yourself to finding them … you will find one. Its nothing mythical … its not one kindred spirit … but they are out there.

Sh*t, I done gave up on my prototype! Let me humor myself by writing down a couple of things items. They say when you put anything on paper, it makes it real…
Ability to communicate
Respectful
Sincere
Honest
Humble
Affectionate
Doesn’t adhere to “society’s standards”
That’s just a taste…OH YEA, FLAT FRONT WEARING MAN! lol..

It may also depend on what point you are in your life. Your priorities change with time, as do your preferences.
I mean, back when I was in high school, all I ever looked for was a hot guy (not that i dont anymore) then I came to realize that the hottest guys are sometimes the hardest to get along with. So that meant that sometimes you’d meet the perfect guy but he wouldnt exactly be in the hot category.
My point is, after a while, you learn to work with what you get. That doesnt necessarily mean compromising everything though …

Prototype:
1. An original type, form, or instance serving as a basis or standard for later stages.
2. An original, full-scale, and usually working model of a new product or new version of an existing product.
3. An early, typical example.
4. Biology. A form or species that serves as an original type or example.
Seeing as a prototype is something that will later be changed 1, 2, or possibly hundreds of times before the final product is ‘discovered’, I’d say yes it is possible to mold someone into the mold you want them to fit so that they are compatible with you. But really… It works like this: COMPROMISE.
Nobody is perfect, everyone will inevitably change something to make the person they want to be with happy. Both men and women alike. You adapt to each others flaws and learn to love everything you figured you wouldn’t be able to stand.
Love just happens to work like that. :p
